Sam was more than just a student; he was a spirited member of a tight-knit community. His fondest memories revolve around the annual bike ride, ‘Bike It’ where his team of four would pedal around the velodrome in a Italian team pursuit, not only leading the field in money raising but Sam’s team also won the primary division of the Westpac Inter-Schools Cycling competition year after year.

Among the many educators who influenced Sam during his formative years, one teacher holds a significant place in his memory: Mrs Bird, as Sam recalls her going above and beyond to support his academic development, providing invaluable assistance with reading and writing.

It wasn’t long after Sam left school he started on an exhilarating career as a professional cyclist in Europe. For six years, he raced against the world’s best, representing Australia with pride on the global stage. The thrill of competition and the pursuit of excellence fueled his every pedal stroke, earning him accolades and admiration from fans worldwide.

However after life on the road, this eventually led Sam back home, where he discovered a new path waiting to be explored. Drawing upon his tenacity and entrepreneurial spirit, he was drawn to the world of real estate. Now business owner and the proud director of LJ Hooker Tamworth, Sam is committed to fostering growth, excellence and client satisfaction within our local community in the competitive market.

Amidst his professional triumphs of representing Australia in three world championships for cycling and owner of LJ Hooker Tamworth, Sam cherishes his greatest achievements on a personal level. Alongside his wife Katelyn, he appreciates the joys of fatherhood, raising two remarkable sons, Finley and Saxby, whose laughter fills their home with warmth and love.
